Chapter 469
I stared at Brandon's reply on my phone screen. I found myself re-reading the message I'd sent him.
"That bastard, what is he trying to do?" Chris cursed and tried to call Brandon again, but the phone was turned off this time.
I looked at the phone screen, my eyes blurring with tears. I quickly turned around and walked to the window, staring at the darkening sky.
Hearing footsteps behind me, I quickly said, "Can you please leave me alone for a while?"
Chris and Conrad knew I was upset, so they didn't try to approach me. They closed the door and left.
At that moment, tears began to flow from my eyes. I didn't know if I was crying because Brandon had so easily agreed to break up with me, or if it was because of the hurt and frustration I felt inside.
I had been waiting for him to come, but when he finally did, he didn't even want to see me. I had only been asleep for a few days—three days and three nights—but Brandon had become so cold and distant.
Something must have happened.
