CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR – ANOTHER DATE NIGHT
Embarrassed but relieved, Charlotte climbed out of the fountain, her cheeks flushed and her dress clinging to her body. The dancer, still holding the tablecloth, rushed over to her.
"Are you alright?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
Charlotte, despite her embarrassment, couldn't help but laugh. "I'm fine," she assured him, wringing out her dress. "Just a little wet and a lot embarrassed."
The dancer grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance," he teased. "I'm Kai, by the way."
Charlotte introduced herself, and soon found herself chatting with Kai as if they were old friends. He regaled her with stories of his own mishaps during performances, and before long, Charlotte's embarrassment had faded, replaced by a sense of camaraderie.
As the night wore on, Charlotte found herself drawn into the festivities once more. Kai convinced her to join in on the hula dance, and though she felt self-conscious at first, she soon lost herself
