Grace had already said her piece. By right, she had already done her job. Scarlett had so much trust in Cedric to the point that she no longer had her own opinions regarding anything in life. Because of that, Grace didn't harbor any hope for Scarlett. But the moment that thought popped into Grace's head, she heard Scarlett's response. "Grace, keep an eye on Cedric for me. We'll discuss the rest once I'm discharged from the hospital. Do not give him any authority whatsoever." Grace was stunned upon hearing Scarlett's order. Did Scarlett's love-addled brain actually function for once? "Lettie, are you sure you got it right? Don't you want me to continue helping Cedric?" Grace asked right away. Scarlett replied firmly, "Just do as I say. There are still a few lingering doubts that I have regarding Cedric, so I'm counting on you, alright?" Grace nodded while acknowledging Scarlett's order over the phone. Once the phone call was over, her hands were still trembling. She could barely
