CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTY EIGHT –
La Luna Negra loomed before them, its neon sign casting an eerie glow on the street. Jasmine took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come.
"Here goes nothing," she murmured, stepping out of the car.
Inside the club, the pulsing music and flashing lights created a disorienting atmosphere. Jasmine made her way to the bar, her eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Mateo or Castillo.
As she mixed drinks and served patrons, she kept her ears open, catching snippets of conversation. Most of it was mundane chatter, but then she heard something that made her blood run cold.
"El Sombra's here," a man at the bar muttered to his companion. "Saw him heading to the VIP area."
Jasmine's heart raced. This was it. She needed to find a way into the VIP section.
Suddenly, a commotion near the entrance caught her attention. General Castillo had arrived, flanked by burly bodyguards. As he made his way through the club, people parted like the Red Sea.
