CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE – MINOR DISASTERS
Over the next few days, a series of minor disasters struck the Bistro. A pipe burst in the kitchen, flooding the floor. The oven mysteriously malfunctioned, burning an entire batch of bread. Wine bottles were found uncorked, their contents spoiled.
With each incident, the atmosphere among the staff grew more tense. Accusations flew freely, and longtime friendships began to fray under the weight of suspicion.
Jasmine found herself constantly putting out fires, both literal and figurative. She mediated disputes between staff members, reassured worried customers, and worked tirelessly to keep the Bistro running smoothly despite the sabotage.
One afternoon, she overheard a heated argument between Lisa and Joey, the waitstaff who had previously clashed over the tip jar incident.
