At that moment, all I could do was shake my head.
Desiree was getting closer, and my heart raced with anxiety. I imagined all the ways Luna could torment me if Desiree revealed my identity.
Strangely, Desiree didn't stop as she passed us. She walked right by, maintaining a distance of over five feet, as if she didn't recognize me at all.
