The neurologist in the room told me Grandpa was suffering from retarded catatonia, indicated by his immobility, mutism, staring and rigidity.
The condition could be caused by a whole range of factors.
He would treat Grandpa with a low dose of benzodiazepines, but it was unclear when or if Grandpa would recover.
I was filled with remorse and guilt.
