Rainey softened her voice but made sure everyone in the first few rows heard it.
‘I know you are in a bad place after Landon left you, but that’s still no excuse to go around claiming other people’s husband as your own. You need help.’
She made me sound like I was deranged.
In a way, she was right.
‘I’ll help you make an appointment with the best psychiatrist in town. I’ll even go with you.’
Her voice turned brittle.
‘But today’s my wedding. Would you please step aside?’
She was calm and collected and handled the situation with aplomb.
What a remarkable woman.
But only I knew, underneath that flawless, level-headed façade was a devil.
She was a fraud, a cold-blooded murderer.
‘I’m not crazy,’ I raised my voice. ‘You said you envied me. You said you would take away everything I had. You did that. You took away my dad’s company, my house, all my belongings. Isn’t that enough?’
