‘Hah,’ Tristan sneered.
He tossed away the wooden rod and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
In the next second, he grabbed the man’s wrist holding the knife, exerting pressure until he heard a crack, and the knife fell to the ground.
‘Ah! My hand, my hand!’
‘Who the hell do you think you are? How dare you lay a finger on us? Let me tell you, I’m Dale Waller. I’ll make sure you are thrown out of Lisbern! Wait till my dad hears of this!’
Dale Waller writhed on the ground, clutching his stomach with a defiant look.
Tristan approached him, pulling him up by the collar. ‘While I was making a name for myself, you were still wearing diapers and playing in a sandbox.’
As Tristan spoke, a passing car illuminated his face, revealing his identity.
Dale Waller was dumbfounded. ‘Tri-Tristan, Mr Valentine!’
Tristan flung Dale to the ground and walked over to Evelyn. ‘Are you okay?’
‘I’m fine.’
‘Let’s go.’ Tristan wrapped his arm around Evelyn’s shoulder and led her to his car in the parking
