Kieran reached for the door and pulled it open. ‘Get out.’
The two women scrambled for the exit and fled.
Their high heels clicked hastily on the hallway floor.
Soon, they were gone.
Letting out a sigh, I walked over and held onto Kieran’s arm. ‘Roxanne. She’s…quite a piece of work.’
‘You are being too generous.’ Kieran kicked the door shut. ‘I’m sorry you had to deal with nasty characters like her.’
‘It’s all in the past now.’ I shrugged and tried to make light of it. ‘I can sort of understand why she did what she did.’
