‘Where did you get this?’ Inspector McLean focused his sharp eyes on us.
Kieran told me how and where we found the flash drive, but kept Landon’s name out of it.
The inspector listened, took notes, nodded occasionally, then sat in pensive silence.
‘You knew about this,’ Kieran said.
‘Not all of it, but some.’ McLean drummed his fingers on the desk. ‘About fifteen years ago, I received an anonymous tip about a paedophile ring active in Lisbern. The caller mentioned recordings, videos of secret orgy sessions, but didn’t offer any hard evidence. I’d just been transferred to the CID, a rookie. I tried to follow up, but the person never called again.’
Under the table, I reached for Kieran’s hand.
