Coco offered a soft smile. “I twisted my ankle that day when we were escaping. It hasn’t fully healed yet.” Using that excuse, she decided against getting out of the car early.
Ivanka’s expression remained polite, but her smile did not reach her eyes. She knew better than anyone whether Coco had actually twisted her ankle that day.
