Chapter 49: A Surprise Birthday Party

Beth’s birthday was underway, and Louis wanted to make it a special day for her. He had been thinking about what to do for weeks, but he couldn’t come up with the perfect idea. That’s when he decided to reach out to some of her college friends, asking for guidance on what she likes. He sent a group text to her friends, after getting some information from Beth on them. He told them about his plans and asked if they could meet up to discuss the party. They agreed, and Louis met them at a local coffee shop. Over coffee, they shared stories about Beth’s childhood and what she loved. They told him about her favorite foods, hobbies, and music. Louis took mental notes, determined to make the party perfect. One of her friends, Grace , mentioned that Beth loved chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream as she told a story about a time in college they visited an ice cream truck. Another friend, Emily, suggested that Louis hire a DJ to play her favorite music. Louis made a mental note to book a DJ
