Calvin soon hung up the phone. There was even a hint of annoyance in his eyes.
He smiled at me sheepishly before pulling out a ring box from his pocket, where our wedding rings were kept.
Without waiting for him to speak, I said, "Calvin, I told you I don't want anything someone else has worn."
