Chapter 52 Remember to Pay
We barely slept a wink that night. Queenie's design was indeed impressive—it was not only innovative but also environmentally friendly.
Yet, somewhere along the way, a slight misstep caused a significant flaw in the final plan. After painstakingly reviewing everything from the start, I finally identified the root of the problem.
"You didn't make this change, did you? The measurements are off by an inch."
Queenie squinted at the screen, then slammed her hand on the table.
"This isn't right! Someone tampered with my design. No wonder the data didn't add up. Someone must've altered the file when I wasn't looking. I thought I accidentally deleted the original!"
I had suspected as much but hadn't voiced it earlier. There wasn't time to find the culprit now, so Queenie started adjusting the data while I helped out where I could.
After hours of work, we finally completed the files. By then, dawn began to break.
Queenie hugged me tightly and said hoarsely, "Summer, I'd be in trouble
