Sophia was momentarily stunned, clearly not expecting my sudden question.
She paused briefly before answering, "Yes."
She had consulted with the doctor and learned that I couldn't afford significant emotional disturbances during this period, so her attitude toward me had become particularly accommodating.
I pressed my lips together, my gaze falling on the breakfast Edison had brought.
"I won't eat anything he buys."
She frowned as though she wanted to speak on his behalf. But in the end, she said nothing. She stood up and threw the breakfast away.
