What Seraphina wasn't aware of was that Winston had brought Asher over to her rented apartment while she was unconscious. He pushed open the door, finding everything seemingly frozen in time, just as it was five years ago. Seraphina did not have much—just a few pieces of old clothes and some random everyday items. However, the room was full of piled-up medicine boxes and dialysis papers. Winston crouched down and picked up one of the dialysis papers, finding it full of dates. His hand trembled as he mumbled, almost inaudible, "Has she… been doing dialysis all this while?" Asher stood by his side, his eyes reddening.
