CHAPTER 59: GOING OVERBOARD

Caleb refused to join the other children playing on the slides and swings. It was playtime, and he insisted on clinging to me. Crystal ran her Day Care in three sessions. The first was lessons where the children learned rhymes and alphabets. The second session was playtime, during which they got to play and socialize with the other children. The third was the creativity session.
Caleb seemed to love the lessons more, though it was because they afforded me more time. Since the lessons ended and playtime began, he'd clung to me, refusing to play with the others. The only time he played was if I joined him on the slides.
However, today, I wasn't quite in the mood to play along with him. The issue with Charles had taken a toll on me, and I just wanted to sit and rest without exerting my energy on anything else.
