Chapter 112: A Day to Remember

Crystal was not around. It had always been her desire to see me off to the hospital whenever I was going for my trimester check-ups. She had become busier lately, and I couldn't blame her for it. She dropped me off at the hospital and quickly headed back to the house where her kids were waiting for her.
There were fewer women in the waiting room, but I wished I had come earlier. Being the sixth person wasn’t what I had planned. I had no choice.
I sat in the waiting room, flipping through a magazine I had brought along as I waited for my appointment. I was almost through with my third trimester and eager to find out my expected delivery date. The baby wouldn’t let me rest.
"Can’t wait to get out?" a woman seated behind me said.
I looked back, surprised because I hadn't noticed her arrival.
"Hi," she greeted.
"Hi. He won’t let me rest, and I always tell him to be calm. The day is almost here," I explained.
