"Taking an Uber is too inconvenient!" Hazel grumbled as she handed Lily a set of car keys.
"Hayden will suffer more with every second that passes. Hurry up!"
Lily couldn't argue. She grabbed the keys without hesitation, her pain forgotten in the urgency of Hayden's situation. She rushed down the stairs, determination written all over her face.
An hour later, she finally arrived at Siester Law Group.
Lily had just gotten out of the car when she saw a familiar figure standing in front of the firm.
Xavier had rushed out so quickly that he hadn't even bothered to put on his coat. His white shirt billowed in the wind, and the cuffs were rolled up, revealing the veins running along his forearms, radiating a raw, tense energy.
Beside him, Sarah had her arm linked with his, and her face was clearly upset.
