Zachary's lips twitched, nearly breaking into laughter when he saw Sophie's awkward expression. Jasper also showed a barely perceptible smile as he glanced at Natalie. "The military district library has many specialized books. If you need any, feel free to borrow them." Natalie had just mentioned it casually, not genuinely intending to read anything, but since Jasper offered, she certainly wouldn't decline. She smiled sweetly at him. "Thank you, Mr. Locke." He maintained his usual demeanor and replied simply, "You're welcome." Watching their interaction, Zachary couldn't help but click his tongue in approval, adding, "Ms. Talia, Captain Locke usually spends his time training or reading. If you want to learn, he's definitely the right person to ask!" Sophie's face turned even darker when she heard this. Throughout the morning, Jasper had barely acknowledged her, speaking to her in less than a few words, and none of them were kind. Zachary hadn't been this warm toward her, either.
