Michael had pulled up to the curb, and he jumped out to open the passenger door. The nurses helped Madison into the car, settling her into the seat and buckling her in. They handed Michael a bag with her medication and instructions, and he nodded gratefully. "Thanks, guys," he said, smiling. "We appreciate it." With a final check to make sure Madison was comfortable, the nurses bid them farewell, and Michael pulled away from the curb, heading home.
