CHAPTER SIXTEEN Guardians of Time's Fabric
The universe was formed around them in a rather dizzying range of colors and physical feel. Lily’s feet slipped slightly on the new timeline; she felt disoriented for a brief second, but Alexander was ready to catch her by the elbow.
‘Are all of you fine?’ Jonathan shouted, fearing the noise around them could be disguising the deaths of his companions.
Sari had literally planted them in the middle of the fire. Fire blazed high in the air, and the ground was spattered with the remains of advanced war-tank-like structures and the corpses of what seemed to be soldiers wearing unusual armor.
Far in the distance was a large structure; this was another serious temporal landmark, and its energy fluctuated chaotically.
‘Where are we?’
Emily yelled, bending low so her head didn’t get taken off by a passing energy blast.
The historian’s mind in Lily began to work as she tried to connect the dots around them. This video is my interpretation of a scene from book 4 of the Temporal Wars serie
