Racquelle laughed derisively, shaking her head as if I was a fool.
"Proof?" she sneered. "You were in my office—that's all the proof I need!"
She was hell-bent on blaming me, clinging to her baseless accusations and refusing to let go.
"Joshua, didn't you say you'd be leaving Smith Group soon?" She stared me down, practically wearing her intent to frame me on her sleeve. "So, of course, it's reasonable for me to suspect you," she continued smugly.
"Suspect me of what, exactly?" I asked, exasperated.
"Why, of using your remaining time here to steal whatever you can," she said with a condescending smile and shook her head mockingly.
I couldn't be bothered with her theatrics anymore. I gestured toward the door. "Please leave. I have work to do and no time to waste on your games."
She just smirked and raised her eyebrow. "What's wrong? Feeling guilty?"
Then, she raised her voice and called out into the hallway, "Everyone, come look! The vice chairman of Smith Group stole something!
