I was stressed out. I could feel the tension in my joints, and my head felt heavier. The plan to confront the covens had taken a definite shape, and even though I would never openly admit it to anyone else, I was very nervous.
And not just for myself but especially for her. My lips curled into a small smile, and my mood lightened slightly as thoughts of Minerva overtook me.
That had been happening even more often. I would be stressed, and her image or voice would suddenly interrupt my music. It was a beautiful feeling, but sometimes it aaligned me.
The intensity of my growing feelings for her scared me. What if we weren't true mates? I wasn't sure I would ever feel so deeply about another, even if the stars had aligned with that person.
The door handle rattled, and the sound snapped me out of my reverie. I moved briskly and unlocked the door as it was pushed open, and my mother stepped in. "Where are you going?" She asked, her eyes focus
