Two days later, I strode out of my father's office after a last failed attempt to convince my father to use his authority as the governor to push the summit forward after I had explained the stakes, but he seemed to be more concerned with what Mr. Baine would think of him.
“I don’t know what you were thinking when you came up with this idea, but this obviously can’t work. What were you thinking? ”
“Dad, what I am thinking or whatever you feel you are protecting by not agreeing to move up the summit date because of Mr. Baine is not as important as the stakes I just presented to you.
