As I was driving to the family house, I fumed internally, remembering how Hendrick Pendragon and his son wanted to be the leader of the search party just because he was the governor's son.
"Idiots," I muttered under my breath, playing with my claws that were already outside.
Lucas shifted awkwardly in his seat, the sound annoying me.
"I don't think the seat is hot, Lucas," I said, looking out the window as we neared home.
"Of course not," he replied, gulping.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Weak," I thought.
We got home, and I exited the car, with Lucas hurrying after me. I suddenly felt hungry and tired, which was unusual for me.
I needed some rest after arguing with that pompous man and his father, who thought the governor could do whatever he wanted because he was the governor.
The sweet aroma of beef stir-fry noodles welcomed me as I entered.
My mom was at it again.
