"You guys keep saying you love me and that you've treated me well, but nothing I have can compare to Carissa. You guys always stand up for her and spoil her, yet I have to tread with caution. "You've always loved Carissa more than you've loved me, and it's unfair! That's why I wanted to take everything for myself!" Tara screamed. She'd overheard Mom and Dad talking about how they'd transferred the house and some of their assets to me. For now, they would give me 35% of the company's shares. The rest would come later. In Tara's eyes, Mom and Dad were so partial to me that it was as if she meant nothing to them. I couldn't help thinking that Tara was insane. "You're just an adopted child, while Mom and Dad's blood flows in me. Mom suffered for ten months and endured labor for a day and night to bring me into this world. Isn't it expected that they'd give me more? That doesn't mean they've ever shortchanged you." Tara wanted to receive the same treatment as me, which was ridiculous.
