Chapter 120: Taken Away
Giselle was awash with emotions.
She didn’t seem to dislike this child; rather, there was a burgeoning joy within her, one that whispered hints of motherhood.
Yet, when she thought of Henry, the prospect of a future stripped of her freedom loomed large…
Giselle shot a guarded glance at Nathan. “What’s the meaning of this? Why bring me here?”
“Don’t you want to get away from him? No one else but me can whisk you away from his side,”
Nathan said, his dark, narrow eyes shimmering with unwavering belief.
But at that moment, Giselle’s heart thrummed like a drum in her chest. She wanted to escape, yes, but not with another.
“Thanks for your kindness, but you’ve got it wrong, Nathan. Henry is my husband. Why would I want to leave a man who loves me? This child is the very symbol of our love.”
In a swift move, she snatched the remote to unlock the car, ready to make her escape. But with a simple command from Nathan, the doors locked again.
The vehicle responded to voice commands.
