Henry’s expression twisted momentarily, a twitch playing at the corner of his mouth.
Giselle hastily stepped back, “I... I’m sorry, that wasn’t intentional.”
“It hurts a bit,” Henry said with a calm voice, his tone more teasing than angry.
His face matched with such a tone sounded strangely out of place.
Yet, it certainly scared Giselle. She remembered the strength of her accidental poke, which seemed to have drawn tears from him.
She tiptoed closer, trying to get a better look, but the dim lighting in the room made it difficult to see clearly.
Wanting to ensure there was no wound, Giselle moved even closer.
Henry's features were undeniably striking—a nose so finely chiseled it seemed divine, and when combined, his features looked as if crafted by the gods.
His facial structure was flawless; no sculptor could replicate such a man.
In the moment their eyes met as she drew near, Giselle felt her heart skip a beat.
She quickly focused on Henry's eyelids, suppressing the thumping
