92: Worth It
Camilla was taken aback by her mother's harsh words, feeling a deep sense of hurt. The heated exchange had left them both saying things without thinking. "Mom, you can't just cut Dad out of our lives like that. He's still a part of our family and we need him. But more importantly, he needs us."
Megan let out an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes. "Oh please, spare me the drama. Your father is a grown man. He made his bed, and now he has to lie in it."
"Mom, this isn't about him lying in his bed. It's about forgiveness. And deep down, you know that Dad deserves a second chance."
Camilla could see her mother's reluctance to acknowledge the truth. "This conversation is over, Camilla. I'm not going to argue with you anymore. Your constant pleading is a waste of my time."
"Are you serious right now?"
"Camilla, please. Let's not talk about this. Don't ruin my night with this discussion, okay?"
Camilla let out a deep sigh, crossing her arms. "Mom, just give Dad another chance."
