Grace's laughter echoed in the room. Apparently, everyone believed Oliver was a bully toward his wife.
"Alright, Juniper, that's enough for today. Oliver and I will take over for you and Jason tomorrow," Grace said, ending the call.
She settled onto Oliver's chest, placing the phone back on the nightstand. The blanket draped over them, yet she remained snuggled in his arms.
"Darling," Grace began, her voice laced with confusion, "why do Jason, Juniper, and James think you'd bully me?" After all, Oliver was the picture of gentleness.
Oliver sighed. "I never lived with them at the Jefferson residence as a child. Every visit was solely for the purpose of disciplining James. Perhaps they formed an impression of me based on those aggressive encounters."
