Serena’s POV
I couldn't speak as I stared at Millie’s face. She was looking at me in the eyes and I’m waiting for her to shout at me and question my decision. I was waiting for her anger. I was waiting for her pain but nothing came. She looked calm and innocent as she waited for me to speak but I seemed to lose my voice because of the shock.
I flinched when she touched my hand. “I overheard Grandpa Charlie talking to Aunt Selena over the phone, mommy. I don’t understand why you and Daddy are divorcing but I know that you both love me and that’s enough for me.”
Tears profusely rolled down my cheeks as I stared at her face. I don't know what to say. She’s too young to experience a broken family but I can’t take back my words. Tyler had agreed and we already filed the divorce. Our marriage had ended. There’s no turning back now.
