Serena's POV
My mind was in chaos and I couldn't think properly. All that’s in my mind is my daughter and her condition. I was praying desperately as Tyler took me on his private plane after I told him what happened.
Selena’s words kept ringing in my head and I couldn't accept what happened.
My daughter is in danger. She was shot. That was very dangerous and I couldn't help but blame myself for what happened.
Hadn’t I sent her away it wouldn’t have happened. It was my fault. Because of my stupid idea of saving her from the pain the divorce would cause her, she fell into a more dangerous situation where her life was at stake. It’s my fault and it hurts me more that I did this to my own daughter.
I sobbed as tears rolled down my cheeks again. Tyler sat beside me after talking to the pilot and held my trembling hands.
“This is my fault…”
“No, it’s not.”
I turned to Tyler and stared at him with eyes full of tears. “Are you not gonna blame me? I sent her away without your consent, Tyler. I
