It was barely a week to founders' day and Miss Patricia hadn't called me to tell me that what she had said the other day about Amelia reading the speech on behalf of our class was a prank. None of the teachers were acting like it was a big deal. I had tried to appeal to the principal but he wouldn't even let me speak to him.
They were all evil. I wanted to scream at them.
I knew I couldn't tell dad about it. He wouldn't understand. Even if he did, he wouldn't intervene. He would tell me that I was being obsessive and encourage me to let go.
I couldn't do that earlier.
"Why are we here, Mia?" Rose asked, breaking into my thoughts.
I blinked as I stared at the four girls standing before me in our secret garden and cleared my throat. I had almost forgotten that I had called for a meeting.
"I called you all here for a reason." I began, clearing her throat.
"Why are they here?" Madeline asked, squeezing her nose at Susie and Brenda, the two girls that weren't part of our clique
