Chapter 185 Cutting Ties

Bella got up and left. She didn't understand why Dominic wanted to get involved in her affairs. His actions only put her under pressure as she feared it would trigger his annoyance and resentment. But as soon as she returned to her room, she received a message from him. It contained information about the situation around Simon's company, revealing why he was looking for her. After Simon's youngest daughter died, he and his wife were left without heirs. His company was a family business. Hence, all of the shares were held by a few relatives. Those relatives, all of whom had many sons, were eyeing Simon's portion. Naturally, he refused to let anyone take his shares from him. So, he and his wife decided that although Bella was his illegitimate daughter, she was still his heir. Of course, they only wanted her as a pretend successor as she would never own any shares or money in the company. After finding out the truth, Bella was furious. Every time Simon claimed to want to make amends
