Even with my eyes tightly shut, the intensity of the lights still manages to penetrate, illuminating my consciousness. In serene surroundings, voices blend into conversations, I can partly catch their words, which resemble an unclear murmur.
"Will she get better?" The concerned question carried my mother's gentle tone.
