I couldn't move. All I could do was stare at Rad's phone. My heart was beating so fast and my mind was in chaos. I wanted to confront him, but I couldn't move even a finger. I was too shocked and…confused. How? In mean…this is…
My jaw almost dropped when he answered the call and put the phone on his ear.
My eyes widened as I glanced at the screen of the phone in my hand. The call ended.
I saw Rad talking to someone. I swallowed hard and tried to dial the number again but his phone didn't ring again.
Blinking continuously, my mind was clouded with confusion and realization.
Was I too desperate to catch this person that I suspected Rad? My ex-boss?
I almost laugh at myself. Damn it, Lucky!
Shaking my head, I started the engine and started driving.
I don't know if I should be ashamed of myself or what.
When I got home, my forehead creased after I heard Darya's cries. I immediately ran to the house, leaving the groceries I brought in the car.
"What happened?" I asked nervously
