A weak, sweet voice came from the other end of the video call. The little boy, who looked exactly like Jayden, lay pale on the hospital bed. He called out to Alyssa in a soft, delicate tone.
Alyssa's heart melted.
"Abram," she said, returning his kisses.
Abram pouted, saying, "Mommy, you didn't call me last night. You didn't say goodnight."
Her older son, Jayden, was a sweet, nagging, and caring type. Meanwhile, her younger son was a normal child who wanted her attention and reassurance all the time. At least, that was how Alyssa saw them.
"I'm sorry, I forgot. Please don't be mad, Abram."
As Abram had a frail body since birth and was recently diagnosed with leukemia, Alyssa paid extra attention to him.
