Everything hurt inside me. My heart pounded, but each thump brought a special kind of agony with it. My veins burned and breathing was near impossible. It was like a giant rock was propped on my chest, squeezing me. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn’t even squint. My body wasn’t listening to me at all. All the stupid thing did was continue to suffer. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think even my spleen was hurting. What had they done to me?
