I delved into the longest speech I had in my entire life. I told him why I went and what I found out. I didn’t even stop to take a breath and throughout the entire time I was talking, Darius just stood there watching me without a single expression on his face. For a second, I wondered if I was even making any sense but I couldn’t stop myself. By the time I was finished, I had to inhale deeply to get air back into my lungs.
I watched Darius carefully waiting for him to show a glimpse of emotion but he didn’t. He kept staring at me with a look so intense that I had to look away. I decided to look around his room and the more my eyes wandered, the wider they opened. His room was larger than mine which I thought was impossible. It was very simple with a large bed, a work table with papers scattered over it, a bean bag, a couch in front of a fireplace and a walk-in closet. His room had black walls which I expected and dark sheets as well.
