Chapter 31
Genevieve instinctively lifted her gaze, only to meet Tristan's cold, empty eyes. Her heart skipped a beat.
She quickly looked away. "No, I don't. How could you think that?"
"Because you like to seduce people. You throw yourself at every man you see," Tristan replied, raising his eyebrows with a mocking glint.
Genevieve pressed her lips together and fell silent.
She would just let him think whatever he wanted. They had no real connection after all. When they got divorced, they would become strangers, and their lives would no longer intersect.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," Tristan said as he straightened up. His tone was careless as he continued, "Herman isn't someone you should provoke. When he loses his temper, he won't show mercy to anyone, even women."
Genevieve couldn't help but sneer inwardly.
Was Tristan talking about himself? No, wait. Even if he wasn't angry, he wouldn't show any pity.
She nodded obediently. "Thanks for the warning. I'll keep my distance from him."
