Kai was stunned to find his boss still wearing yesterday’s clothes when he picked Austyn up.
And the location—outside Dr Chase’s apartment—seemed suspicious.
‘Where to, Boss?’
‘Ardmore Park. I need a shower and a change of clothes before heading to the office.’
Austyn rubbed the space between his brows and snapped when the assistant glanced in the rearview mirror for the fifth time. ‘What?’
‘Um, Boss, you have a, ah, a bit of a red smudge on your collar.’
Kai would have bet a month’s salary that it was lipstick.
Austyn yanked at his collar and stared down at the spot in disgust.
When he spoke again, his voice was a low growl. ‘If Kira ever hears about this, you are out of a job. You understand?’
Kai nodded eagerly and mimed zipping his lips.
