She shrank back from Henry’s finger under her chin, but there was no place to go.
He straightened up, frowned. ‘Why aren’t you begging?’
‘Is that what you are waiting for?’ Kira sneered, tried her best to prevent her fear from showing. ‘Sorry to disappoint you. But then, you’ve never really been satisfied with me as your daughter-in-law.’
Kira would never acknowledge this man as her father-in-law.
To her, he was nothing more than evil distilled in human form.
‘It seems that you’ve grown a backbone since the last time we parted.’ Henry watched her, speculating.
