‘Are you all right?’
Kira felt light-headed.
Jesse repeated his question three times before Kira finally registered it.
‘You almost fainted there.’ Jesse put both arms on her shoulders and examined her face. ‘I think you are getting a heat stroke.’
Kira blinked several times and regained her balance.
She pulled out of Jesse’s arms.
‘I’m fine.’
‘You don’t look fine.’
Kira massaged her throbbing temples.
‘I’m fine, really. It’s just low blood sugar. I haven’t had lunch.’
‘Are you sure?’ Jesse frowned.
He touched her forehead. ‘We are literally on the doorsteps of a hospital. I think you should get yourself checked out.’
