Giana went to open the door. ‘Mr McCarthy!’
Austyn nodded at her.
His gaze fell on Kira in the living room.
‘I brought breakfast, for both of you.’
He held up two brown paper bags in his hands.
Giana took the bags from him. ‘That’s great. Thanks.’
She paused. ‘Do you want to come in? You should join us.’
‘Is that okay?’ Austyn stared straight at Kira, whose head was bowed.
‘Of course it’s okay.’ Giana opened the door wider. ‘Please come in.’
Kira stood up. ‘I’m not hungry.’
She headed for the bedroom.

He stepped back. ‘I’m not going in. Enjoy the food. I’ll be downstairs if you need me.’
