Chapter 29 - A Safe Haven.
Elsa's feet pounded the pavement as she ran from the hospital, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't bear the weight of Jack's words, the sting of his rejection. She felt like she was drowning, suffocating under the pressure of her secrets.
She knew it.
They couldn't be together.
It was all a mere dream thinking he could forgive her just like that.
They were not meant to be but she fooled herself thinking he was understanding.
Now she understood why humans and her kind never mix.
"Elsa.." She could hear Sarah's voice calling out to her but no she won't stop.
She was a threat.
A threat to all.
" Jack!!!" Sarah called out as she entered the room.....
As Elsa turned a corner after she had escaped the exit door, she collided with a frail figure with a force that sent her groceries scattering across the sidewalk. Elsa's heart raced as she apologized profusely, dropping to her knees to help gather the scattered items.
"I'm so sorry ma'am. I'm deeply sorry...I didn't mean to.
