“I knew this whole thing will go well with you and her once you set into this matter, that’s why I sent the telegraph, but I must be honest, Macron, you came late.”
Laura and Macron were standing at the balcony in the big family mansion, both wielding slim glasses of champaign in their right hands. While Macron was cladded in a black suit that made him look like the round fellows one sees in vampire movies, Laura was dressed in a shiny brown gown that gave her the fit of a model.
She isn’t that old, just in her sweet forties, while Macron was clearly in his sixties. Macron had succeeded in winning Mariama over for a party, and that was what they were engrossed with at this very moment.
The music from inside was quite a noise, but there at the balcony, the two big wigs could hear each other.
“I didn’t come because you sent me telegraph.” Macron said. “I came because my PA asked me to come meet Lady Light.”
