There weren't many people having skewers at lunchtime, so the dishes we ordered were quickly served.
Quinn opened seven or eight bottles of beer and urged Chase to serve us food and drinks.
After I had a few drinks, Dwane nudged me under the table.
I cleared my throat and asked, "Chase, I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to check in on you. I heard you've been skipping classes and not going back to the dorm. Is there something troubling you?"
This was a question that Sullivan, Dwane, and I had planned to ask him.
Becoming roommates in college was fate, and we wanted to help if Chase had any problems since we got along well.
Sullivan and Dwane both listened intently while waiting for Chase's response.
Chase gripped his cutlery tightly.
He sipped his beer slowly, showing no intention of explaining.
"Chase, avoiding the problem won't solve it," I advised. "If you don't trust Dwane and I, whom you have only known for a few months, you should at least trust Sulliv
