At the vet, Kitty curiously looked around, occasionally glancing at the animals being carried by.
As we passed the left-side bench, a creamy-white cat cried while its owner stood beside it, looking embarrassed.
Hazel had previously made an appointment with the veterinarian. He was a well-dressed man with side-swept bangs. His profile suggested that he was a handsome young man.
"Who might you be?" The man frowned slightly.
"Dr. Mora," I addressed him after seeing his name printed on the door before entering. "Hazel sent me."
Dr. Mora's expression dropped a little. "Hazel? She didn't come by herself?"
"No."
"Oh, who are you?"
I grew slightly irritated and snapped, "What does this have to do with the pet's check-up?"
Dr. Mora paused momentarily and then answered casually, "I need to submit your details for the examination report. After all, you're the one who brought Kitty here, not the owner. So, you'll be responsible if something goes wrong."
Technically, he had a point. But
